Program

The three days will be enriched by further training / information moments, always connected to issues of relevance to the sector, aimed at involving as much as possible the multiple players, suppliers and professionals who gravitate around the world of oil.

CONFERENCE

Inaugural conference: “The olive growing to come: challenges and scenarios for the near future”

with the participation of government institutional representatives and trade associations.

Presentation and launch of the first edition of Evoo Expo Rome, an event entirely dedicated to the extra virgin olive oil sector, scheduled for 2022.

PANEL DISCUSSION

“…olea, quae prima omnium arborum est”

(The olive tree and its oil, between cultivation and culture) – De Re Rustica, book V / 8-1-3, 1st century d. C.

Round table with a panel of international experts that addresses the historical, cultural, agronomic, gastronomic and health aspects of liquid gold, a symbol of the Mediterranean food model. Chaired by Professor Apostolos Paul Kiritzakis, M. Sc. Ph. D, chairman of the Greek Section of the International Observatory of Oxidative Stress (Thessaloniki, Crete; Greece).

Coordination: prof. Giovanni Scapagnini and dr. Eugenio Luigi Iorio.

PRESENTATION

Presentation of the EVOO SCHOOL ITALIA Foundation

It was created by the will of the Coldiretti National Confederation and the National College of Graduated Agro-technicians and Agro-technicians with the operational support of the Campagna Amica Foundation and Unaprol, the Italian Olive Consortium.

The Foundation aims to advance the olive sector through a cultural project that involves national and international partners from the world of business to that of research and institutions.
Its objectives are therefore: To train and qualify professionals capable of providing support to companies in the olive sector. Support the knowledge of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and olive growing through the creation of training courses and seminars of a higher and university nature. Promote knowledge and research relating to the important health benefits of EVO oil and table olives. Disseminating the knowledge of EVO oil and table olives to students, consumers, agricultural entrepreneurs, mill operators, large-scale retail purchasing managers, catering operators.

Organized by the University of Rome Tor Vergata Faculty of Economics, in collaboration with Fiera di Roma, Coldiretti and Unaprol, Ansa, Ega Congresses and Events.
